What is your role at Leigh Court and how long have you been part of the team?
I have been involved with Leigh Court for over 20 years, working full time and currently freelancing in the events team. Over that period of time, I have worked in the same role as a Conference & Banqueting Manager, so I have a large amount of experience running all sorts of events.
What do you enjoy about your role?
I enjoy the variety of events – no day is the same and it’s great to meet so many different people, plus we have a large number of regular clients which is nice. It’s very much a hands on job, which I enjoy as I prefer not to be stuck behind a desk.
Why do you think businesses should choose Leigh Court for their next corporate event?
There’s a number of reasons I think people should choose Leigh Court. One of those is its location, with easy access to Bristol, the motorway and even the airport. The size of the ground floor space with the interconnecting rooms provides people with a real blank canvas on how to use the space for their events, whilst the grounds we have around the house make Leigh Court quite unique as guests can use this space as well. With all this plus the added bonus of free parking on site, why wouldn’t people book Leigh court?
If money was no object, what would be your dream event to hold at Leigh Court for your colleagues, family and friends?
If money was no object I would like to have a grand paintball weekend based around Leigh Court for friends and family. I’d set up different courses and obstacles in the grounds and the woods behind the house, use the house as base camp for food, rest and recovery and possibly overnight accommodation. There would be two teams, which would compete over the weekend for a grand prize and the whole theme would be based on World War 2.
