Food and drink

Can we supply our own wine and drinks?

Only drinks purchased at Leigh Court are allowed to be consumed at the house. Our caterer can offer a variety of drinks packages that can be tailored to your tastes.

Can we use external caterers or supply our own food?

We have a fantastic caterer with a wide selection of different options to suit our couples. We only permit catering to be undertaken by our approved caterer, and all food must be supplied and served by our caterer.

Can we sample the food?

Yes, you will be invited to a wedding experience tasting event with our caterer, subject to availability and the date of the wedding.

General questions

How do I confirm my wedding at Leigh Court?

If you wish to book a date, please contact us on 01275 373 393 or email us at enquiry@leighcourt.co.uk and we will be able to check available dates and make the booking for you. You will then receive an email with your booking details so that you can double-check the date and price and review the terms of your booking.

What is the deposit required to book the date?

We require a deposit payment of £1,800.00, inclusive of VAT, to secure your chosen wedding date.

Who books the ceremony?

You will need to contact the local registrar to inform them of your chosen venue, your wedding date and preferred time.

If you would prefer a church wedding, there are three churches within a three-mile radius of Leigh Court. For further details, please speak to your wedding coordinator.

What is the maximum capacity you can cater for?

Our maximum number is 110 seated guests for a ceremony in the Great Hall and the Library Suite for your meal. Do speak to your wedding coordinator about your seating plan options.

Can we invite more guests in the evening?

You are welcome to invite additional guests for the evening up to a maximum of 250 people in total.

What time does Leigh Court close?

The music must conclude by midnight. We ask that guests have pre-booked taxis to collect them by 12.15am.

Is the house accessible?

Leigh Court is committed to ensuring that all guests to the Estate are treated equitably and according to their needs. Facilities include:

  • Reserved accessible parking facilities
  • Motorised lift access into the house, with all the rooms on the same level
  • Hearing loop facilities
  • Facilities for those that require private space for prayer, nursing or other needs (by prior arrangement)

Can we have confetti at the wedding?

Yes, but we only permit bio-degradable or real petal confetti and for it to be thrown outside on the front steps.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes! We love to see dogs at Leigh Court. They are welcome to attend the ceremony and drinks reception. If you need someone to look after your dog during the day, please speak to your wedding co-ordinator for further information.

What are the local accommodation options?

We are fortunate to have a fantastic choice of accommodation options in the local area, especially in Clifton Village which is only a couple of miles away. We have some discounted rates arranged at some of the hotels and we can provide you with a list of recommendations for your guests.
